The Genealogy of my Ancestors in Volhynia.

This data base documents my ancestral families in Volhynia in the Ukraine plus their descendents in America. There is also information on their origins in what is now northern Poland. These families arrived with early waves of migration in 1833 and intially lived near Sapust and Faustindorf. In about 1855 they migrated to the Romansdorf area just east of Volhynia near Kiev. Important family names include Hoffmann, Lehmann, Spitzer, Krassin, Glaser, Minge, Henkel, Hahn, Klukas, Radke, Kurtz, Rudlaff and Reiser.

The data also includes the Kostopol area and Beretstowitz and Aneilowka in particular. These families generally migrated to Volhynia around 1867. Important family names include Remus, Hoppe, and Deutschlander.

Most families left during the Russification program of the early 1890's.
